Negotiation is an art that a student does not learn by reading the concepts. It has to be done in practice to gain this life skill. When a MUN delegate negotiates with other delegates for resolution or alliances, they have to interact and convey their message to other delegates. A delegate with good communication skills will be able to persuade lots of other delegates. You also have to create beneficial alliances to ensure that your resolution passes through. This art is known as lobbying. Settling on a resolution and compromise where both parties are happy requires great skill. Students learn this skill in the MUN event.
